Sarah Mercer

Sarah M. Mercer, 83, of Jones County, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 23, 2017 at 2:00PM at Haddock Baptist Church with Dr. Ron McClung officiating. Burial will in Haddock Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 3:00PM to 5:00PM at Hart's, Jones County Chapel. Mrs. Mercer was the daughter of the late Joseph Griffin Miller and the late Roxie Ann Avery Miller. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend as well as a lifelong member of Haddock Baptist Church. Mrs. Mercer is survived by her husband of 51 years, Chester Mercer; daughter, Sarah Anne Mercer; three sisters, Lottie Smallwood, Gladys Pace, and Josephine Haralson; and brother, Grady "Bill" Miller, all of Jones County.
