Sara Beth Jackson Hertwig passed away on December 18 after an extended illness. Sara Beth was born in Rock Hill, SC and went to Agnes Scott College in Decatur. She dearly loved Agnes Scott which helped form her approach to life. After raising her sons, Sara Beth became the Chief Financial Officer of Eastbank Trading Company. She is predeceased by her husband Charles Hertwig, Jr. and her elder son, Charles Hertwig III. She is survived by her sister Nancy Pitts of Richmond, Virginia; son, Curtis of Sandy Springs, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Victoria of Macon; grandchildren, Kina Floyd (Sean) of Cochran, Georgia; Toni Benson (Cody) of Gainesville, Georgia; Sara Sweeney (Patrick) of Gainesville, Georgia; Jeremy and Benjamin Radkins of Macon and great-grandchildren, Andrew and Jackson Benson. A Celebration of the Life of Sara Beth Jackson Hertwig will be held on Saturday, January 18th, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Sidney Lanier Cottage, 935 High Street, Macon. The family will greet friends after the service. Burial will be private.In lieu of flowers, a donation is requested in Sara Beth's name to Historic Macon Foundation, 935 High Street, Macon, GA 31201, Theatre Macon, 438 Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201 or the donor's charity of choice.
