Sandra Walton Sinclair

Sandra Walton Sinclair passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her home in Roberta, Georgia on August 11, 2022. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Hart’s at the Cupola, with the Reverend Jimmy Towson officiating. The family will greet friends for a reception following the service. Burial will be private at Riverside Cemetery.

Sandra and her husband Robert Sinclair owned Restaurant Management Services in Macon. They will be remembered fondly by most in association with their beloved restaurants Shoney’s, The Green Jacket, Captain D’s, and Lee’s Chicken. As an avid animal lover, Sandra supported local animal charities. She was notably a devoted patron of the arts having attended the Atlanta School of Art herself. Sandra supported local artists as well as others in her lifelong pursuit of this passion. Sandra’s greatest love was of family. She cherished times with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Above all else she was a faithful Christian with deeply held religious beliefs. She was a member of Mulberry Methodist Church.

Sandra was predeceased by her parents, James Shields Walton and Virginia Smith Walton; her sister, Barbara Walton Brown, and her husband, Robert Maxwell Sinclair, all of Macon, Georgia. She is survived by stepdaughters, Nancy (Darry) Fulford, of Hilton Head Island, SC; Kathy (Bo) Stewart, of Highlands, NC; and Sally (Bob) Hershner, of Macon, GA; niece, Bronwyn (Scott) Fussell, of Roberta, GA; grandchildren: Jennifer Snyder, of Nashville, TN, Jane Bolin (Jeff ), of Nashville, TN, Robert Wooley (Maddie), of Smyrna, GA, Mary Katherine Byrd (Ben), of Avondale Estates, GA; Raeder and Denny Fussell, of Roberta, GA; and great grandchildren, Finley Bolin, Maxwell Bolin, and Zeke Byrd.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sandra’s honor to the donor’s local Humane Society.
