Sandra Kay Maddox

Sandra Kay Maddox passed away on September 25, 2025. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 3:00PM in Gray Memorial Gardens (Cedar Ridge Cemetery) 111 Greene Settlement Road, Gray, Georgia. The family will greet friends at the cemetery 30 minutes prior to service. The Reverend Chuck Beaver will officiate.

Survivors include her loving husband, of 60 years, William Robert Maddox of Jones County; Daughters, Shelia Maddox Payne (Keith) of Twiggs County and Amanda Maddox of Jones County; two grandchildren, William Kody Payne (Maggie) of Twiggs County and Kayce Lazelle Payne of Twiggs County; two great grandchildren, Juliette and Kayde Payne; brother, Ricky Dix of Jones County; sister, Cheryl Lynn Howard (Greg) of Jones County; many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Mrs. Maddox, affectionately known as “Aunt Kay” was born September 22, 1947, in Macon, Georgia. She loved being around people and the entire community was her family. “Aunt Kay” loved traveling and never met a stranger. Her smile would light up a room, and she made you feel like you were the most important person in the world. She will forever be remembered for her love and compassion.
