Samantha Leigh Kitchens

Samantha Leigh Kitchens passed peacefully in the arms of her devoted parents on May 3, 2018. Samantha was born on October 27, 2016. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Hart's Mortuary, Jones County Chapel, 307 Pecan Lane, Gray, Georgia, 31032. Pastor Tommy Freeman will officiate. She will be buried at Plentitude Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date. The family will greet friends and family on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 5:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m., also at Hart's Mortuary, Jones County Chapel. Samantha Leigh is the baby daughter of Trapper and Stephanie Kitchens, and the little sister of Lorelei Nicole Kitchens. Her paternal grandparents are Sam and Kari Kitchens of Jones County, Georgia; maternal grandparents are Ron and Lourdes Corella of California and Ray and Michelle Simonton of Albany, Georgia. Samantha has a host of loving extended family members to include great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and her dedicated medical family. During her eighteen months on this earth, Samantha touched the lives of many by her show of strength and determination to persevere through her many health challenges. Samantha was often considered a miracle baby; and the gift of believing in miracles will be her legacy. She had an uncanny ability to communicate through her bright, blue eyes and sweet smile, especially when her mama and sissy were nearby. Samantha will be profoundly missed; however, her family takes comfort knowing that she remains wrapped in God's arms and is now free to play with other angel babies. In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for contributions to be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 1160 Forsyth Street, Macon, Georgia, 31201. Hart's Mortuary, Jones County Chapel has charge of arrangements.
