Ryan Julian Brewer

Ryan Julian Brewer, 43, of Macon, Georgia, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Hart’s at the Cupola. Ryan was born on April 7, 1981, in Dublin, Georgia.  He graduated from Burke County High School in the year 2000, and continued his education at Augusta State University and completed his nursing degree at South Georgia College in 2006.  His compassion and caring nature found a perfect outlet in his profession, as he began his nursing career at the Medical Center in Macon, enriching the lives of those he cared for with unwavering empathy.

In 2013, Ryan met the love of his life, Melissa; they were set up on a blind date at Denny's in Byron, Georgia. Their connection was instant, and they married just six months later. Together, Ryan and Melissa shared a passion for movies and video games, while frequently visiting the north Georgia mountains and the historic Biltmore House in Asheville, North Carolina.

Ryan enjoyed movie nights with friends and family, and loved engaging in the competitive spirit of Jeopardy, and the Wheel of Fortune. A true outdoorsman at heart, he loved deer hunting and had an avid interest in firearms.

Ryan will be lovingly remembered by his wife Melissa Brewer, of Macon; son, Jackson Miller Brewer, of Macon; mother, Terry Brewer, of McRae, Georgia; brother, Steven Cory Brewer (Nichole), of Bolingbroke, Georgia; aunts and uncles, Bill and Sherrie Collins, of Vidalia, Georgia, Monty and Judy Usher, of Lyons, Georgia, Willene Hodges, of McRae, Georgia, Rusty Davis, of Charleston, South Carolina, and Doris Jones, of Milan, Georgia; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ryan was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Julian Brewer; and grandparents, Rufus Julian and Louise Anderson Brewer, and Russell Correl and Alice Davis.
