Rutha Gaynell Hedgepeth

Mrs. Rutha Gaynell Hedgepeth, a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, died on August 19th, 2020 at the age of 81. A memorial service will be held Sunday August 23rd, 2020 at 3:00 PM at the Parkway Assembly of God. For more details refer to her Facebook page, www.facebook.com/gaynell.hedgepeth.

Rutha was born August 8th, 1939 to the late Rutha Virginia Tanner and Raymond Ivey Tanner. She was a lifelong resident of Macon, Georgia. She was loved by many and adored by anyone who knew her. She was a longtime member of Napier Avenue Church of God, and later Parkway Assembly of God.

Rutha was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Peacock. She is survived by her loving husband, Everett Harold Hedgepeth of 57 years; her siblings, Judy Gordy and Rick Tanner; her son Everett Darrell Hedgepeth, daughter, Felecia Malia Giddens; 11 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren (soon to be 6).

Hart’s on Cherry Street, Hart's Mortuary and Cremation Center, 765 Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201 has charge of the arrangements.
