Ruth Harvey Wells Webb died in the quiet hours of the night at her residence after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, January 26, 2009 at the chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road. Burial will be at Poplar Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery in Adrian, GA. Visitation: 4:00PM to 6:00PM on Sunday at Hart's at the Cupola. Mrs. Webb, a native of Tallulah Falls, GA spent most of her life as a mother and homemaker, even after her children were grown. She loved to cook and bake and was known for her 12 layer chocolate cakes and her warm generous heart. Even though her speech was affected by a stroke, she still was able to make friends, inspire her children and earn the love of those who met her. She was predeceased by her husband, Johnny Pierce Webb, and two children, Sherry Aaron and Beverly Watkins. She was the daughter of the late R.C. Harvey and the late Willie Atkins Harvey.
Mrs. Webb is survived by her five children, three devoted sons, Harvey Wells (Debbie) of Juliette, Jerry Wells (Joy) of Macon, and Mike Wells of Macon, and two loving daughters, Patsy Sparks (Dennis) of Macon and Jeanie Wells (Tryphena) of Gray; 14 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; and an extended family in the staff and residents of Peake Healthcare Center where she resided for the last 7 years.
