Ruth Dean Waites

Ruth Dean Waites of Macon died Sunday, January 27, after an extended illness. She passed away at home surrounded by her family. Graveside services will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Tuesday, January 29th, at 11:00. The family will greet friends following the service. Mrs. Waites was born in Wetumpka, Alabama, the daughter of the late Frank Mizell Dean and the late Frances Gamble Dean. She was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church. After raising her children, Mrs. Waites returned to school, graduating from Wesleyan College. Mrs. Waites is survived by her husband, Billy Waites of Macon; daughter, Lynn W. Williams (Cliff) of Macon; son, Brad Waites of Vancouver, British Columbia; grandson, Judson Williams of Macon; sisters, Virginia Wingard and Frances Borders, both of Valley, Alabama. The Waites family would like to express their gratitude to Mattie Lou Jones, devoted friend and caregiver, and to the staff of Heartland Hospice.
