Ruth Agnes Lupo

Ruth Agnes Lupo; 91, of Macon, Georgia passed away Saturday, September 13, 2008. Funeral services will be held at Vineville United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2008. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Dr. Marcus Tripp and Reverend Jimmy Duke will officiate. Visitation will be held Monday, September 12, 2008 from 7:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Robert Hawthorne Lupo and Clara Bell Kirby Lupo. She was a retired U.S. Army Nurse serving in World War II and retired in 1967 as a Major. She was a graduate of the Nursing School in Milledgeville, Ga. After retiring from the Army, she worked as a registered nurse at the Coliseum Hospital for 9 years. She was a member of the Vineville United Methodist Church and attended the Ed Cook Sunday School Class. She is survived by a nephew and friend, Robert Phillips and Linda Gillman, both of Macon, and other nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to the Vineville United Methodist Building Fund, 2045 Vineville Ave. Macon, Ga. 31204. The family may be contacted at the residence.
