Russell W. Mansfield, Sr.

Russell W. Mansfield, Sr. Russell W. Mansfield, Sr., 80, passed away Friday, September 28, 2012. Funeral services and a Celebration of Life will be held Monday, October 1, 2012 at 11:00 am at Berean Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Bowker officiating. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service at the church. Mr. Mansfield was born in Macon to the late John and Thelma Mansfield. He proudly served with the United States Coast Guard in an Air Detachment Unit. He then worked for the Central Georgia Railroad as a machinist before retiring as a Lieutenant from Bibb County Sheriff's Department after thirty-seven years of service. Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-four years, Diane Mansfield; sons, Russell (Cletia) W. Mansfield, Jr.and Marchant (Bonnie) Mansfield; daughter, April (Amir) Lajevardi; and eight grandchildren, Jacob, Courtney, Brittney, Zachary, Bonnie, Austin, Arion, and Armand.
