Ruby Cochran Reese

February 21, 1916 — September 9, 2012

Mrs. Ruby Cochran Reese, 96, died Sunday, September 9, 2012. Services will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 2:00PM at Highland Hills Baptist Church, Macon, with Dr. Jim Bruner and the Reverend Cass DuCharme officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Friday from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Highland Hills Baptist Church, 1370 Briarcliff Road, Macon, Georgia 31211. Mrs. Reese was born on February 21, 1916 in Macon and lived there until June 1, 2011 when she moved to Twelve Oaks Senior Living in Dublin. She worked at the former C & S Bank until her retirement. Ruby loved her church, Highland Hills Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member and teacher for more than fifty years. Mrs. Reese is predeceased by her husband, Robert Garvin Reese, Sr., and her son, Robert Garvin Reese, Jr., as well as her parents, George A. and Pearl Burnett Cochran, sister, Mildred Cochran Arnold and beloved sister, Agnes Burnett Cochran. Mrs. Reese is survived by her son, Randall Garvin (Ann) Reese, of Dublin; granddaughters, Leigh Ann Reese (Roge) Williams of Dublin, Jennifer Reese (Stephen) Lackley of Forsyth and Rachel Lauren Reese and family of Newnan; great-grandchildren, Madeleine (May), Caelan and Lily Cate Williams and Tom and Andrew Lackley; sister, Louise Cochran (Richard) Gardner and several nieces and a nephew.
