Royce Alfonso Gray, Jr.

Royce Alfonso Gray, Jr., 70, of Lizella, Georgia, died Thursday, January 26, 2017. Services will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 11:00AM at Lizella United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Monday, January 30, 2017, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM, at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Rd, Macon, Georgia. In honor of his lifetime love of UGA and Jeff Gordon, if you have any applicable attire please wear it to the visitation and funeral. Mr. Gray attended Cave Springs School for the Deaf and graduated from Dudley M. Hughes High School in 1968. He retired after thirty years from Geico. He was an avid softball player and bowler. He loved all things UGA. Mr. Gray loved his family and friends and spent the last twelve years watching his granddaughter, Paige, growing up and playing ball. He was a member of Lizella United Methodist Church. Mr. Gray loved life and lived it to the fullest. Mr. Gray was preceded in death by his father Royce Alfonso Gray Sr and mother Carrie Cross Gray. Mr. Gray is survived by his son, Royce Alfonso "Al" Gray III, his daughter-in-law, Wendy Gray and his granddaughter, Paige Carabelle Gray. Register online www.hartsmort.com.
