Ronald L. Palmer, 101, died on January 21, 2017. Private graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Community Foundation of Central Georgia, MDBC Fund, 577 Mulberry St. #1600, Macon, GA 31201. Mr. Palmer was predeceased by his first wife, Virginia Phillips Palmer, and his second wife, Evelyn G. Palmer. He was an enthusiastic bridge player and an honorary life master of The Macon Duplicate Bridge Club. Ronald was born in New York but got to Macon as fast as he could. His first three years were spent in an orphanage in New York. He was a member of the Macon Community Band where he played the trumpet. He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in World War II and was retired from Robins Air Force Base where his last position was a technical writer. He loved his Episcopal Church. Mr. Palmer is survived by his stepdaughter, Evelyn Ogden (Bob) of Macon; and step granddaughter, Alison Ogden-Bowles (Mike) of Jonesboro, Georgia.
