Ronald Anthony Langley

Ronald Anthony Langley died January 12, 2023, in Macon, Georgia at the age of 72.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Mulberry Street United Methodist Church located at 719 Mulberry Street, Macon, Georgia. Guests may visit the family beginning at 10:00AM in the parlor of the church.  In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to Mulberry United Methodist Church to either of these 3 ministries, Outreach, children’s’ ministries, or Music.

Ron was born February 9, 1950, in Carrollton, Georgia to Garland Alexander Langley and Paulene Roberts Langley.  He grew up nearby and graduated with a degree in Insurance and Risk Management from the Business School at the University of Georgia.  He was an athlete focused on playing baseball in high school and for one season played with the University of Georgia. Ron enjoyed fishing with his children and friends as well as woodworking, such as building birdhouses.  He liked working out at the Wellness Center with friends and being a part of his Sunday School class and working with the childrens’ ministries. Since being a teenager, Ron was interested in classic cars his whole life long.  It was his favorite hobby in his later years.  He worked as a large loss property investigator with Allstate Insurance Company for the bulk of his career.

Known as Ron by his friends and family he is survived by his wife, Miriam Harrison Langley of Macon and four adult children and their children:  Reid Harrison Langley and wife, Stephanie, children, Lawson and Weston, all of Hoschton, GA; Meredith Adrienne Langley with infant son, Sebastian of Macon; Matthew Alexander Langley and wife, Ashleigh and infant daughter, Amelia of Charlotte, N.C.; and Patrick Daniel Langley with son, Ethan of St. Simons, GA.  Other survivors include nephew, Greg Young and wife, Carol of Ranburne, AL, and niece, Patricia Reed and husband, Brian of Birmingham, AL.
