Roger Allen Phillips

Roger Allen Phillips, 62, a resident of Macon, Georgia, passed away on July 16, 2014. He was born in Anniston, Alabama, on January 23, 1952, to the late George and Margaret Phillips. After moving to Macon as a young child, he lived here his entire life. Upon graduation from Stratford Academy and then Mercer University, Roger established his own business and worked as an accountant, stock broker, and real estate agent for many years. He enjoyed skeet shooting, combing the beaches of the Gulf Coast, and attending family gatherings. Roger genuinely loved his family, his country, and his special canine companion Romeo. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, brother Gregory Phillips, nephew Wesley Phillips, and brother-in-law Troy Young. He is survived by brothers George Phillips (Marilyn) and Mark Phillips (Rosalyn), sister Bronwyn Young (Troy), nephews Jay and Phil Daly, nephews John and Ashley Phillips, niece Melissa Davis, and several great-nieces and nephew. Memorial services will be conducted Sunday, July 20, 2014, 2:00 PM, at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 1120 G Street NW, Suite 700, Washington DC, 20005 or All About Animals, P. O. Box 4331, Macon, GA 31208.
