Robert C. White, Sr.

Robert C. White Sr., 93, of Macon, passed away Saturday January 6, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Vineville Baptist Church, 2591 Vineville Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204 with Dr. Richard Kremer officiating. The Family will greet friends following the church service. Burial will be private at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to First Presbyterian Day School, 5671 Calvin Drive, Macon, Georgia 31210 or Vineville Baptist Church, 2591 Vineville Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204. Mr. White was born in Sandersville, Georgia to the late Robert C. White and Lucia Marie Collins. He attended grammar school and high school in Cochran, Georgia. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the 96th Infantry during World War II. He was a graduate of Mercer University where he earned his business degree. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. Mr. White worked for DuPont Pharmaceuticals for forty years. He loved flying and being around people. Robert served as a Deacon of Vineville Baptist Church where he was a member for sixty-five years. Mr. White is survived by his wife of sixty-seven years, Jackie Means White; two sons, Robert C. White Jr.(Melisa), and Donald Gary White(Ellie); four grandchildren, Katie White, Robert White, Michelle White, and Stephen White; all of Macon. Please visit www.hartsmort.com to express condolences.
