Robert Machen Van Buren, 66, died Saturday, January 11, 2014. A memorial service will be held 2:00PM Friday, January 17, 2014 at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with Reverend Marty Watson officiating. Family will greet friends following the service. Burial will be in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia at 11:00AM on Friday, January 17, 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31210. Mr. Van Buren was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in the Vietnam Conflict. A graduate of Willingham High School, he was retired from Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of Avondale Baptist Church. He is survived by his sister, Jenny Van Buren Bonds (Phil) of Macon; and nephew, Jeffrey Allan Teehee, Jr. of Macon. Register online at www.hartsmort.com.
