Robert Theodore "Teddy" Butler, 65, died at home on Saturday, April 13, 2013. Teddy grew up in Macon at The Butler House, a boarding house and restaurant owned by his parents, Luke and Gerry Butler. Teddy was born with "grease in his blood" and worked many years in the food service business. He retired from Georgia Dept of Corrections where he worked as a Food Service Advisor to the prisons. For about 15 years he also owned and operated AW Shucks Roasted Corn, doing food concessions at festivals. Teddy was a Christian and was well known for his gregarious spirit and generous heart. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Pruett Butler; sons, David Butler of Valdosta, GA and Robert "Bubba" Butler (Stephanie) of Alpharetta, GA; sister, Cindy Collins (Ricky) of Galesburg, IL; four grandchildren, Zeke Fahs, Caroline, Davis and Henry Butler; several nieces and nephews; and his animal rescues, Toby, Annabelle, Mister and Sister. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, Macon.
