Born on March 28, 1947, in Dublin, Georgia, Mr. Starley was a man of honor and courage, having served his country as a Vietnam veteran in the U.S. Army. After his military service, Mr. Starley served as a fire and rescue volunteer for the Jones County EMA. He dedicated many years as a maintenance electrician and eventually retired from the Georgia Power Plant Scherer, where his work ethic and camaraderie were highly valued by all who knew him.

Mr. Starley was a man whose love for life was as immense as his generosity and sense of humor. He was known for his quick wit and the laughter that often filled the rooms he entered. He was often seen carrying treats for the various animals he encountered, and he generously fed those that came up to his house, providing a haven for the local wildlife. This compassion for animals was just one of the many ways he expressed his generous spirit.

An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Starley found solace and joy in fishing, a pastime that allowed him to immerse himself in the tranquility of nature. He cherished these moments, often sharing them with family and friends, creating memories that would last a lifetime.

Family was the cornerstone of Mr. Starley's life, and he was deeply committed to those he loved. He nurtured a home filled with warmth and affection, where laughter was the common language, and kindness was the currency. His presence was a source of comfort and strength, and he will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Those who knew Mr. Starley will remember him as a funny and generous man. His ability to uplift others, his unwavering kindness, and his infectious humor have left an indelible mark on the hearts of many.
