Robert Gerald "Robbie" Hilliard

Robert Gerald "Robbie" Hilliard, age 55, from Gray, GA passed away on July 15, 2017 at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon, Georgia. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Riverside Cemetery. The family will greet friends Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Hart's Mortuary on Cherry Street. Donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice, in memory of Robbie. Robbie was born in Orlando, Florida and as a child he lived in Palatka and Jacksonville, Florida. His family eventually moved to Macon, Georgia. He was a member of the class of 1980, at Central High School. After high school, he worked in different industries but began working in Automotive Parts Sales, beginning with Pep Boys. He continued with auto parts for many years with Youmans Chevrolet and Hutchinson Auto. He eventually switched to truck parts and worked for Yancey Brothers and Rush Enterprises as a Parts Specialist. Even during his illness, he received calls requesting information on parts. Robbie was a past Cubmaster of Pack 170 in the Boy Scouts. He also enjoyed participating in the planning of Wrestling tournaments at Tattnall Square Academy through the years. Robbie attended Ingleside Baptist Church and had been baptized in the last year, recommitting his life to his Savior. Robbie is survived by his wife, Amy Hilliard; children, Brandi (Justin) Rainey of Macon; Robert Hilliard Jr. and Aaron Hilliard of Gray, Ga.; grandchildren, Blaine and Caroline Rainey; mother, Marian Mueller of Macon; sister, Tamra Hilliard of Orlando, Florida. The family would like to express special thanks to all the staff at the Cancer Center, The Infusion Center, Dr. Luu's office (especially Marie), and all the staff at Pine Pointe Hospice, especially all his "sweethearts" there.
