Robert Lawson Pope

Robert Lawson Pope, 73, of Macon, GA, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Hart’s on Cherry Street with the Reverend Bradd Blackman officiating.  Flowers will be appreciated, or memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville SC 29605.

Survivors include his wife, Janis D. Perkins Pope of Macon; daughter, Serena Adkinson of Catersville, Georgia; sons, Chris Pope of Kentucky, Clint Pope (Tressica) of Macon, and Reno Pope of Augusta, Georgia; brother, Rudy Pope (Sandra) of Mississippi; sister, Pat Holton (Steve) of Mississippi; brother, John West (Linda) of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren, Cadence Pope of Brunswick, Georgia, and Brandon Pope of Kentucky; and great granddaughter, Ali Pope of Jones County, Georgia.

Son of the late Clinton Lee and Edna Earl Lloyd Pope, Mr. Pope was born October 7, 1948, in Philadelphia, Mississippi.  He loved and cherished his family.  He retired from Riverside Ford and enjoyed working on classic Mustangs.

Mr. Pope was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
