Robert M. Kennedy "Monroe"

Mr. Robert M. Kennedy, “Monroe”, 82, of Macon, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020.  A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 2:00PM at Hart’s Jones County Chapel, with Pastor David Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at Macon Memorial Park in Macon.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Kennedy was born March 25, 1937 in Tifton, Georgia to parents, Elzie Monroe Kennedy and Eugina Smith.   He married his wife of 63 years, Betty Kennedy, September 8, 1956.  Mr. Kennedy especially loved his family.  He enjoyed his work in construction for well over 50 years and he loved music and dancing.

Mr. Kennedy is preceded in death by his brother, Curtis Monroe Kennedy; sister, Linda Kennedy Lott; and son, Michael Kennedy, Sr.  He is survived by his wife, Betty Kennedy; daughter, Christi Mauldin (Al), of McDonough; grandchildren, Dominique Kennedy (Jade), of Hoschton; Allison Eaton (Andrew), of McDonough, Michael Kennedy, Jr., of Macon, and Taylor Brock (Frank), of McDonough; and five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601.
