Robert Benjamin Johnston, Jr.

Robert Benjamin Johnston, Jr. passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on October 29, 2018. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 2:00PM at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Dr. Billy Oliver officiating. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Hart’s Mortuary, 765 Cherry Street, Macon. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorials be made to charity of choice.

Mr. Johnston is preceded in death by his parents, Mary Kate and Robert Johnston, Sr.; grandson, James Daniel Scarborough IV; and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Ogle.

Mr. Johnston was retired from Warner Robins Air Force Base. After retiring he worked for MERC, SSAI, and SRA. He was a member of First Church of Christ Scientist. Mr. Johnston will be greatly missed by his family.

Mr. Johnston is survived by his wife, Lynn Cox Johnston of Macon, Georgia; 2 daughters, Julie Scarborough (Jim) of Macon, and Amy Holmes (Jason) of Macon; two sons, Vic Johnston (Denise) of Macon, and Kevin Johnston of Orange Park, Florida; stepson, Trey Ogle of Gray, Georgia; six grandchildren: Ashley Hawthorne, Cameron Scarborough, Lee Whaley, Darbi Johnston, Parker Ogle, and Carson Ogle.
