Robert Gerald "Jerry" Bale

Robert Gerald "Jerry" Bale, 85, died Wednesday, July 30, 2014. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 11:00AM at Byron City Cemetery, Byron, Georgia, with the Reverend Sam Loyd officiating. The family will greet friends at the graveside from 10:00AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to New Haven Baptist Church, c/o Cindy Loyd, 6636 Goodall Road, Macon, Georgia 31216. Mr. Bale, son of the late Edith and Elsworth Bale, was born August 20, 1928 in Niagara Falls, New York. He was predeceased by his brothers, Spencer and Ray, and daughter and son-in-law, Linda Jean Bale Adams and John Adams. Mr. Bale was an insurance investigator with Retail Credit Company in Hazlehurst. A graduate of Georgia College, he was a registered nurse for the prison hospital in Milledgeville. He also worked and retired from the Mental Health Department in Bibb County. Mr. Bale was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in the Korean War. He was a member of Shurlington United Methodist Church. Mr. Bale is survived by his son, Robert Lee Bale (Cindy) of Macon; grandson, Alex Adams of Warner Robins; granddaughters, Abbey Adams Ferguson of Macon, Jennifer Bale of Milledgeville and Jodi Bale Holland (Chad) of Fort Mill, South Carolina; great-grandsons, Lewis, Chase and Benji Holland.
