Robert Gordon Hollister, Sr.

Macon- Robert Gordon Hollister, Sr., 73, died Thursday, January 5, 2012. A Celebration of his life is planned for Saturday, January 14, 2012, at 11:00AM in the Grace Sunday School Class Room at Forest Hills United Methodist Church with Pastor Teresa Edwards officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forest Hills United Methodist Church, 1217 Forest Hill Road, Macon, Georgia 31210. Mr. Hollister was born on March 15, 1938 in Altoona, Pennsylvania. His family moved to Jacksonville Beach, Florida where he graduated from high school and went on to attend Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. His first job after college was in Atlanta, Georgia where he participated in a sales training course with Atlanta Stove Works, Inc. and from there, enjoyed a career in sales. Mr. Hollister is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Jane Hollister; sons, Robert Gordon Hollister, Jr.( Stacey and son, Marc Bartlett) and Shaun Alan Hollister (son, David Alexander Hollister); nieces and nephews, Christy Hollister, Rick Hollister and Wendi Wilson (Ed), all of Florida, and Ashley Hollister (Mary Cleaver), Erica Hollister (Seth Isman) and Alexis Connolly (Edward), all of Massachusetts.
