Robert Gonzalez

Macon-A memorial service for Robert Gonzalez, 79, will be Thursday, 29 January 2009 at 4:00PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5215 Log Cabin Drive, Macon, GA with Lars Kortes officiating. Mr. Gonzalez was born in El Paso, Texas 29 May 1929 and moved to Macon, GA in 1969. He was an avid golfer, winning Macon's Peach Blossom Open in 1975. He was a member of Oakview Golf and Country Club and the Dixie Senior Golf Association. He retired from Robins Air Force Base in 1996. At the time of his passing, he was a bailiff for Bibb County court system. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Patricia Gonzalez and Deborah Adams and one grandson, Cameron Woodard. Mr. Gonzalez is survived by his wife of 59 years, Tyne Gonzalez and two sons, Dale "G!" Gonzalez of Macon, and Brian Gonzalez of Athens; three grandchildren, Stephen (Crystal) Woodard and Dana (Jeffrey) Folsom, both of Griffin, and Kristen (Mitchell) Brown of Atlanta; three great-grandchildren and numerous relatives in Texas and Georgia.
