Robert Edward Davidson

Robert Edward Davidson, 51, surrendered his body to cancer and claimed the promise of eternal life at Pine Pointe Hospice on Sunday morning, November 17, 2013. He was born in Macon on February 4, 1962 to Dolores and (the late) George W R Davidson Jr. He was in the first class of students to attend First Presbyterian Day School, where he established lifelong friendships. He also attended Mercer University. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, and more recently Strong Tower Fellowship Church, where he had many dear friends. He was a true Southern gentleman, with irrepressible charm and a perpetual twinkle in his eye, whose slightly irreverent sense of humor and lightning wit brought smiles (and occasionally other emotions) to all who knew him. He is survived by his beloved companion Sugarlump, as well as his mother Dolores E Davidson, brother Frederic S Davidson and nephews Steven and Logan Davidson of Dallas TX, brothers Franklin and Ray Davidson, nephews Geordie, Robert and Benjamin Davidson, and niece Sara Davidson, all of Kalamazoo MI. A memorial service will be held at Strong Tower Fellowship Church at 2193 Vineville Ave in Macon, at 1PM on Wednesday November 19 2013.
