Robert C. "Buddy" Peyton, 95, died June 17, 2011. Mr. Peyton was born in Frankfort, Kentucky and was a graduate of Frankfort High School. He was a World War II Veteran, having served in the United States Army for four years. He retired from Stagg Distillery, where he worked as a security guard for thirty-five years. Mr. Peyton was a member of the Frankfort VFW and was a Kentucky Colonel. Mr. Peyton was predeceased by his wife, Pauline Elizabeth Wiley Peyton. Mr. Peyton is survived by his daughter, Dawn Nash (Scott) of Macon; step-son, Floyd Ellis (Joyce) of Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky; grandchildren, Marcus Nash (Alena) of Macon, Chris Nash (Nicole) of Louisville, Kentucky; step-grandson, Len Ellis (Kelly) of Warsaw, Kentucky; great-grandchildren, Peyton Ezra Nash of Louisville, Kentucky, Ethan and Aidan Nash of Macon; step-great-grandchildren, Jenna and Hayden Ellis of Warsaw, Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held in Macon, Georgia at 6:00 PM Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with Dr. Scott Nash officiating. A reception will follow the service until 8:00 PM. A second Funeral Service will be held in Frankfort, Kentucky at the Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 10:00 AM, with Dr. Scott Nash officiating.
