Robert C. "Bob" Millikan

Robert C. “Bob” Millikan, 88, of Fort Pierce, Florida, formerly of Macon, Georgia, passed away on June 3, 2025.  A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at Riverside Cemetery, 1301 Riverside Drive, Macon, Georgia.  Dr. Tommy Jordan will officiate.  In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Treasure Coast Hospice, Fort Pierce, Florida, 5090 Dunn Road, Fort Pierce, Florida 34981, in honor of Robert C. Millikan.

Bob was born on October 28, 1936, in Hopewell, Virginia to Clifton and Theresa Millikan. He grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and graduated from Georgia Tech in 1958. Bob was an engineer for the Bibb Manufacturing Company before becoming an engineer at Brown and Williamson, where he retired.  He loved spending time on the water whether it was the lake or the ocean.  He loved to go sailing, water skiing, spending time at the beach, and was known for teaching many people how to ski.  Bob was a great husband, father, grandfather, and brother, and he will be greatly missed by his family.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Cathy Kikel (Bob) and Laura Jackson (Bill), both of Vero Beach, Florida; his son, Warren Millikan of Tybee Island, Georgia; his grandchildren, Spencer Ely of Macon, Georgia, Morgan Jackson (Chappell) of Statham, Georgia, and Josh Jackson (Nichole) of Greensboro, North Carolina; his brother, Larry Millikan of Orlando, Florida; and his sister, Sue Lecarreaux of New Jersey. He is preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Charlotte Ann Roberts Millikan.
