Robert A. "Bob" Hunt, Jr.

Robert A. (Bob) Hunt, Jr., 86, passed peacefully on the morning of March 25, 2017. The family will greet friends on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 2:00PM until 4:00PM at Hart's Mortuary, 765 Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity. Mr. Hunt was born in Hartford, Connecticut, on November 6, 1930 and raised in the Washington, D.C. area. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Hunt later graduated from the University of Maryland. In 1974, he moved to Macon with GEICO Insurance Company. After retiring from GEICO, he went on to obtain a certified paralegal degree and work for local attorney offices. Mr. Hunt was predeceased by his parents, Bob and Violet Hunt, brother, John Hunt (Judy), and son, Christopher. Mr. Hunt is survived by his wife of sixty years, Shirley, son, Robert Hunt III, daughter, Cheryl Putnam (Tony), and many nieces and nephews. Register online at www.hartsmort.com.
