Ricky Guinn Hancock

Ricky Guinn Hancock, 62, was born January 10th, 1955, in Copperhill, Tennessee. On Wednesday, July 5, 2017, with family by his side, Ricky was called home to be with the Lord. Ricky was educated in Jones County Schools and took continuing education courses at Georgia Tech. He was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corp and began a working career that span for over 41 years. He was a member of Local 48 and worked at Georgia Power Plant Branch from 1994 to 2011. He was a wonderful man, devoted and loving son, husband, father and step-father. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, supporting his Tennessee team (Go Rocky Top), reading, fishing, hunting and the occasional motorcycle ride. He was preceded in death by his father, Guinn Earl Hancock, step-father, Daniel Glenn Vaughan, a sister, Rebecca Joyce Hancock and his precious babies, Shelby and Susie. Ricky is survived by his mother, Joyce Vaughan of Jones County; a loving wife, Cindy Miley Hancock of Jones County; daughters, Christie (Kris) Twining of Guyton; and Nickie Hancock of Gray; son, Blake Hancock of Gray; step-daughters, Jessica Wynn of Macon and Cheryl (Chandler) Doughty of Dunwoody. Two brothers, Tim (Geni) Hancock of Lizella and Rusty (Pam) Hancock of Indiana. Three grandsons, Tyler, Joseph and River Winston. One granddaughter, Haley Cheyenne. Last but not least, his precious baby Daisy. The family will greet friends on Friday, July 7th, 2017, from 6PM until 8PM, at Hart's Mortuary, Jones County Chapel, in Gray. Services will be held at Hart's Jones County Chapel at 11AM on Saturday, July 8th, 2017, with the Reverend Russell Hancock officiating. Following the service, a family service will be held at the gravesite. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either Pine Point Hospice or the Jones County Animal Shelter.
