Richard Talmadge

Richard Talmadge, 88, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015. A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 2:00PM in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends Friday, November 13 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, GA 31201 or to the Children's Hospital, 888 Pine Street, Macon, GA 31201. Mr. Talmadge was born in Patterson, NJ to the late Durling Talmadge and Helen Lewis Talmadge. He was an animal lover and worked with animal rescue groups for many years. Mr. Talmadge loved to travel and had a passion for woodwork. He was also a volunteer firefighter with the Cedar Creek Fire Department. Mr. Talmadge was preceded in death by his wife, Katie Hilton Talmadge. Survivors include his daughter, Sandy Talmadge of TX; brother, Carl Talmadge of AZ; and extended family and friends.
