Richard Patrick Sheridan died August 24, 2014. He was born February 6, 1928 in Macon, GA and lived there all of his life. He was the son of the late John Valentino Sheridan and Theresa Cassidy Sheridan. A Rosary will be held at 6:30PM on August 25, 2014 at Hart's at the Cupola. The funeral mass will be held at 1100AM on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with a burial at Riverside Cemetery. He graduated from Lanier High School in 1946 and then served in the US Army from 1946 to 1948. He graduated from Mercer University in 1951. He was subsequently called back into service during the Korean War for two years and was honorably discharged as a 1st Lieutenant. Mr. Sheridan entered the real estate business in 1960, working for Murphy, Taylor and Ellis. He worked there for many years before forming his own company, Sheridan Realty Company. He later joined Fickling and Walker and was currently working with Sheridan Solomon and Associates. He was a member of Idle Hour Country Club, the Macon Elks Club, and the Macon Civic Club. Richard was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. In addition to his parents, Richard was pre-deceased in death by his wife of 39 years, Eugenia Williams Sheridan, his brothers, John Valentino Sheridan, Jr. and Donal Joseph Sheridan. He is survived by his sister, Sister Valentina Sheridan RSM. He is also survived by his three children and six grandchildren: Richard Patrick Sheridan (Lee) of Athens; Timothy John Sheridan (Lane) of Macon; and Pace Sheridan Creech of Savannah; Margaret Sheridan Watts (Robert) of Atlanta and Thomas Cassidy Sheridan of Birmingham, AL; Virginia Lane Sheridan and Emily Caroline Sheridan of Macon; Sanders Creech and Alle Creech of Savannah.
