Riccardo Del Mastro, of Macon, died November 10, 2012, following a courageous battle with what was an ongoing illness. A Rosary will be said Monday, November 12, 2012 at 6:30 pm in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. A memorial service will be held at 11 am Tuesday, November 13, 2012 in chapel of Hart's Mortuary, with Father Allan McDonald of St. Joseph Catholic Church officiating. Del Mastro was born May 16, 1950, in Torin, Italy, moving to the United States in 1980 and earning his full citizenship in 1999. He went on to work for Int. Freight Forwarding in N.J., working his way to the position of vice president, a job he held for 15 years. In 1994, Del Mastro moved to Macon, where he owned and operated Eastside Seafood until his death. An avid big-game hunter, he was inspiring to his beloved friends and family, as well as his community. To meet Del Mastro was to adore his warm smile, which he was always quick to share. Proceded in death by: his Father, Guieseppe Del Mastro; Mother, Rosee` Del Mastro; Brother, Anselmo Del Mastro, all of Torin, Italy. He is survived by: his beloved wife Veronica Del Mastro of Macon; Daughter, Carolina Del Mastro of Italy; sons, Daniel Sullivan of New Jersey and Xavier Sica (Christy Smith Sica) of Jacksonville, Fla; and one grandson, Triton Sica, of Jacksonville, Fla.
