Reverend William Amos Cobb, 86, of Macon, went to his heavenly home Saturday, December 29, 2018.
Funeral services will be held at Bradley Baptist Church of Gray, Friday, January 4, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. with Reverend Steve Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Macon Memorial Park in Macon. The family request to receive friends and family one hour prior to the service at 11:00 a.m. at Bradley Baptist Church.
Mr. Cobb was born in Quitman, GA, the son of the late Leroy and Alice Sutton Cobb, on December 23, 1932. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Lorene McDowell, James (Bill) Cobb, Margaret Sexton, Barbara Smith and Caroline Coley.
Mr. Cobb was retired from Allied Workers Local 48. He was a retired Pentecostal Holiness minister, in the service of his Lord Jesus Christ.
Survivors include his bride of 64 years, Margaret Camp Cobb; his sons: Wm. Phillip (Deborah) Cobb of Jones County and Paul Stephen (Sandy) Cobb of White, GA; his grandchildren: Wm. Matthew (Stacy) Cobb of Macon, Tracey (Kevin) Lowe of Jones County, and Christopher Cobb of Eauharlee, GA; five great grandchildren: Austin, Dalton, Shelby, TJ, and Macy: brothers: Clyde Cobb of Danville and Cecil (Barbara) Cobb of Macon.
