Rebecca "Becky" Weimortz Gilson

Rebecca "Becky" Weimortz Gilson, 69, of Gray passed away Monday, July 27, 2020 surrounded by family at her daughter’s home.  Funeral services will be held Friday, July 31, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel. The family will greet friends Thursday, July 30, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hart’s Jones County Chapel.  Interment will be held at Elam Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation National Headquarters 6520 N. Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309-2132.

Becky was born to the late Edward David and Dorothy Mae Prater Weimortz. She worked for YKK for 15 years.  She loved painting, especially, using the one stroke painting technique.  In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her brother, Edward A. Weimortz.

Becky is survived by her husband, Kenneth Gilson of Gray; children, Dana Driggers (Tracy) of Gray,  Jamie Brown (A.J.) of Macon, Zachary Gilson of Tacoma, Washington, and Jaime Gilson of Spokane, Washington; 4 grandchildren Mason Grimsley (age 11), McKenzie Brown (age 8), Carter Driggers (age 7) and Tucker Driggers (age 4); and sisters, Pat Rainbow of Visalia, California, and Debbie Blunt of Vancouver, Washington.

The family would like to thank the staff of Lynn Haven for 5 years of exceptional care.
