Rebecca "Becky" Evans (Evans) Pope

Rebecca “Becky” Evans Pope passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019 surrounded by family. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 11:00AM at Hart’s Mortuary, Cherry Street Chapel with Reverend Lonnie Purdue officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 10:00AM-11:00AM at Hart’s Mortuary. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210.

Becky was preceded in death by her husband, William “Billy” J. Pope of Laurens County and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred and Margaret Evans.

Becky worked for the V.A. in Dublin, Georgia and was a Gate Keeper at Lake Tobesofkee in Macon, Georgia. She was a 1972 graduate of Dudley Hughes High School and served in the United States Air Force.

Becky is survived by her siblings: Bobbie Tucker (Mike), Ronald “Ronnie” Evans, and Donald “Donnie” Evans; and multiple nieces and nephews.
