Raymond Edward Jarrell

Raymond Edward Jarrell: 81, of Macon, Georgia passed away Saturday, June 6, 2009. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 9, 2009 in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street at 4:00 p.m. Military interment will follow in the Middle Georgia Memory Gardens. Dr. Rick Lanford will officiate. Visitation will be held Monday, June 8, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Born in Bibb County, he was the son of the late Albert Alonzo Jarrell and Dora Smallwood Jarrell. He was the husband of the late Alice Ann Jarrell. He was a retired owner and operator of Greene and Jarrell Deep Well, Inc. in Jones County. He also was a retired Major from the U.S. Army, serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church and The Moose Lodge in Macon. He is survived by his fiancé: Sue Roeder of Macon; Step-son, Clifford Goad of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Sons, Thomas Glenn Jarrell of Gray, Stephen Raymond Jarrell of Gray, Richard Bruce Jarrell of Macon, Daughter, Michelle Jarrell Pridgen of Macon; 14 Grandchildren and 11 great Grandchildren; Sister, Dorothy Hinson of Macon. Several special nieces and nephews.
