Ray "Handsome Ray" Gene Still

"Ray" Gene Still, (Handsome Ray) 73, of Macon, passed away April 18, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, April 20, 2018 at Hart's Jones County Chapel, 307 Pecan Lane, Gray, Georgia 31032. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private. Handsome Ray shared an unbreakable bond with his beloved Barbara for over 48 years. Whatever one did, the other did. Their relationship was the envy of many. Ray enjoyed woodworking, fishing and spending time with his family. Ray was predeceased by his father, Willie J. Still; mother, Myrtle Still Nolan; brothers, Council Still and William Timothy "Tim" Still; sons, Delbert Charles McDermid and James Patrick McDermid and son-in-law, Stephen Eric Horne. Ray is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara Jane Still; children, Terri Lucero (George) of Gray, Robert "Bobby" John McDermid of Gray, Regina Still Elrod (Lee) of Fitzgerald, Georgia and Cassandra Still Horne of Gray; sister, Shirley Still Stone Newman (Tommy Newman) of Warner Robins, Georgia; brother, Wallace Still (Cyndie); sisters and brothers-in-law; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, David Payne.
