Ray T. Hall

Raymond Thomas “Ray” Hall, 54, of Gray, passed away Friday, January 26, 2024.  Funeral services will be at Hart’s Mortuary Jones County Chapel, Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 1:00PM, with Dr. Bryan Hinson officiating. The family will greet friends one hour before the service.  Interment will follow the service at Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery in Deepstep, Georgia.

Ray was born March 1, 1969, in Macon, Georgia. He was a man of deep faith and abundant love for those around him. Having earned his master's degree in theology from the Jacksonville Baptist Theological Seminary in Jacksonville, Florida, Ray dedicated much of his life to understanding and sharing his spirituality.

A skilled carpenter, Ray found joy and solace in shaping wood with his hands, creating pieces that were as functional as they were beautiful. He was also passionate about working on and riding his Harley Davidson, feeling most free while cruising the open road.

Above all, Ray cherished the moments spent with his family. His love for them was unwavering, and he instilled in them the values he held dear. His devotion to the Lord was his guiding light, as it was his strong desire to follow Jesus.

Ray is survived by his mother, Margie Roberts of Macon; sisters Cindy Hall Crews (Andy) of Woodstock, Georgia and Leigh Foshee Brack (Kevin) of Gray; nieces and nephews, Caitlin Crews, Ashleigh Parks (Chris), Noah Brack (Graci), Abigail Brack (Jonah Godwin), Jonah Brack, Asher Brack, and Annaleigh Brack; furbaby, Tiny Tot; aunt, Martha Lee Smith of Macon; and brother, Thomas Zane Hall of Sandersville, Georgia.

Ray was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Thomas Hall, Jr.; grandparents, Raymond Hall, Sr., Kathleen Hall and Virginia Cliett; great aunt, Lenora Hall; great-grandmother, Bessie M. Treace.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice or Smyrna Baptist Church, 857 Smyrna Church Rd. Sandersville, GA 31082.
