Randall Stewart Walker

Randall Stewart Walker, 74, of Gray, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel.  The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville.

Mr. Walker was born on July 16, 1950, in Douglas, Georgia to the late Joe A. Walker and Renee Maxine Beall Walker. He was a 1968 graduate of Jeff Davis County High School in Hazelhurst, Georgia. After being drafted in 1970, Mr. Walker proudly served his country in the United States Army until 1972. Following his service, he worked for Union Construction before joining the City of Macon in 1994, where he worked until his retirement in 2017.

Mr. Walker was a longtime member of New City Church in Macon, where he joined in 1978.  He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mr. Walker is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Ann Norris Walker of Gray; sons: Lance Walker of Gray, Greg Walker (Virginia) of Statesboro, Georgia, Stephen Waits (Holly) of Bonaire, Georgia, and Jonathan Waits of Macon, Georgia; grandchildren: Noah Walker, Seth Walker, Hannah Walker, Wyatt Walker, Amelia Walker, Ellie Walker, Cierra Salcedo, Taylor Waits, Dylan Waits, Cameron Waits, Tucker Waits, Braylon Waits, and Khloe Waits; brothers, Garland Walker (Linda) of Macon, Georgia, and Carroll Walker (Susan) of Hazelhurst, Georgia; and sister, Judy Morgan (Joe) of Gray.
