Ralph Eugene Skipper, Sr.

Macon- Ralph Eugene Skipper, Sr., 85, of 911 Hill Place, died Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 11:00AM in Riverside Cemetery. The family will greet friends immediately following the funeral service at the residence of Ralph Skipper, Jr., 204 Trotters Run. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Heartland Hospice, 200 Northside Crossing, Macon, Georgia 31210 or to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201. Mr. Skipper was a member of First Baptist Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in World War II and Korea. Mr. Skipper was predeceased by a few hours by his wife of sixty-four years, Betty Louise Rozar Skipper. Mr. Skipper is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ralph Skipper, Jr. and Kathy Provost Skipper; grandchildren, Tracey Skipper Alexander (John) and Ashleigh Provost; great-grandchildren, Austin, Savannah, Tucker, Hannah and Hunter; sisters, Vivian Kitchens (Leon) and Nell Milam, both of Macon; several nieces and nephews.
