Ralph N. Dowlen

Ralph N. Dowlen, 95, passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 at 10PM to be with the Lord. Born in Summerset, Kentucky July 29, 1917, he was a Navy veteran and retired from AT&T telephone Company. Ralph is survived by his wife, Lorraine, of 68 years; daughters Linda Mosley (Wesley) and Gail Petty (Mel); sons Nicky Dowlen (Paulette) and Bryan Dowlen ( Susan); grandson Kevin Mosley (Leslie); granddaughters Melissa Thomaston (Scott), Alexis Dowlen, Meghan Dowlen, Autumn Dowlen; step-grandson Eric Petty (Michelle); great- granddaughter Hailey Thomaston; step- great-granddaughter Haley Petty; nephews Steve Teays and Jimmy Vonderhaur; sisters Rose Teays and Audrey Stamp. He was of Methodist faith. He will always be cherished and missed. His final resting place will be Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family asks in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201.
