Radford E. Massengale

Radford E. Massengale, 83, of Haddock, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 2, 2019 at New Salem Baptist Church, 183 Salem Church-Miller Road, Gray, Georgia.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be at New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to New Salem Baptist Church, 183 Salem Church- Miller Road, Haddock Georgia, 31033.

Mr. Massengale, son of the late Paul and Jennie Massengale, was known as "The Greyhound”.  A veteran of the United States Army, he loved baseball, boxing, football, and karate.  He is preceded in death by his brothers, Emmett Massengale and Warren “Dick” Massengale.

Mr. Massengale is survived by nieces, Judy M. (Calvin) Peavy of Tennille, Georgia and Sandra (William) Pace of Gray; nephews, Edward (Terrie) Massengale and Thomas (Debra) Massengale, both of Haddock; sisters-in-law, Cathy Massengale of North Carolina and Kathy Massengale of Haddock.  Pallbearers are Edward Massengale, Jerry Hawkins, Warren Massengale, Howard Massengale, Luke Massengale, Damon Massengale, and Christian Sellars.
