Rachel Archibald Moore

Rachel Archibald Moore died Saturday, December 13, 2014. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, in the chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road. The family will greet friends at the Cupola on Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. Born in Macon, Mrs. Moore graduated from Dudley Hughes High School and nursing school at Orlando Tech. She moved to Orlando when she was 31. She was a nurse and lived in Orlando for 38 years before retiring to Macon in 2011. Mrs. Moore was a member of Geneva Women's Club, a Girl Scout leader, a Sunday school teacher, and a Vacation Bible School teacher while living in Florida. She loved to paint and read. Her true passion, though, was her grandchildren. Mrs. Moore was predeceased by her son Richard Harold Wallace. Mrs. Moore is survived by her husband of 40 years, Bill Moore of Monroe County; three children: Sharon E. Bowen (Kenny) and Wendy Alexandria Moore of Geneva, Florida, and Susan Wallace Green of Oviedo, Florida; six grandchildren: Amanda Proctor, Stephanie Snellen, Cassidy Rachel Wallace, Ava Spell, Ella Spell, and William Spell; sister, Nina Phillips of Monroe County and brother, Carl Archibald (Belinda) of Monroe County.
