Rachel Williams Carroll

Rachel Williams Carroll, 74, passed away on December 11, 2020.  She was born in Houston, Texas on December 20, 1945 to the late Joseph Edward Williams, Sr., and Maydell Theresa Crawford Williams. Services will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 2:00PM at Parkway Assembly of God with the Reverend Joe E. Williams, Jr. officiating.  Interment will be at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020, at Hart’s at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31210. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Parkway Assembly of God, 5191 Eisenhower Parkway, Macon, Georgia 31206.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Mickey Carroll of Macon, Georgia; daughter, Shelly Whitaker (Cody) of Lizella, Georgia; 4 grandchildren, Olivia Brown, Clara Grace Christian, Hope Christian, and Coraline Whitaker; great-grandson, Alec Ray; two brothers, Joe E. Williams, Jr. (Becky) and Danny Williams (Ginger) of Macon; and several nieces and nephews.

Rachel graduated from A. L. Miller High School, received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia, and her master’s degree from Georgia State University.  Rachel taught at Heard Elementary for over 20 years.  She was an active member of Parkway Assembly of God where she sang in the choir for over 35 years.  Her favorite thing to do was spending time with her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Rachel’s memory to Parkway Assembly of God, 5191 Eisenhower Parkway, Macon, Georgia 31206.
