Queechie Chancey King passed away on December 13, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 2:00PM at Hart's Mortuary, Jones County Chapel, with the Reverend Joe McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow the service at Sardis Church Cemetery, Jones County. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at Hart's, Jones County Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request donations to be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 152 North Crest BLVD #C, Macon, GA 31210. Queechie was born in Jacksonville, Florida and was a graduate of A.L. Miller High School. She was the first school bus driver for the handicapped for Jones County, where she drove for 34 years. Queechie loved all animals, crafts, and baking. Queechie was predeceased by her son, Scott Russell King. Queechie is survived by her husband of 54 years, Russell King of Gray; son, Chris King of Gray; daughter, Heather King McFarland (Jason) of Gray; two grandchildren, Hunter McFarland and Macy McFarland of Gray; brother, Chris Chancey (Terry) of Gray; and several nieces and nephews.
