Phillip Bond

Phillip Bond, 63, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018. The family will greet friends Friday, February 2, 2018 at Hart's Mortuary, 765 Cherry Street, from 6:00PM-8:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meals on Wheels, Bibb County or Middle Georgia Access to Justice Council, INC. Mr. Bond was a voracious reader, a lover of music and the Atlanta Braves. He lived more than 40 years as a quadriplegic. Mr. Bond practiced law and led Middle Georgia Legal Services for many years, helping those who could not afford an attorney. He earned the Dan Bradley Award, Fred P. Magnet Award, and the Macon Bar Association Lawyer of the Year in 1998. Mr. Bond is survived by his father, Wilbur Bond of Warner Robins, Georgia; sister, Sharon Nist (David) of Carrollton, Georgia; brother, David Bond (Chris) of Frisco, Texas; nieces and nephews, Chris, AJ and Caleb Nist and Lauren and Jacob Bond.
