Peter Treiber

Peter “Pete” Treiber, 58, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026. Memorial services will be at 11:00am, Saturday, May 16, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Christ, with the Reverend Julie Long Officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations in his honor are made to an animal rescue organization of your choosing.

Pete was born in Macon, to Caroline Ayars and Heinz H. Treiber. He graduated from Mt. de Sales Academy in 1986 and continued his education at Oglethorpe University earning a bachelor’s degree. Pete spent his life building a career in the hospitality industry around the state. He always found a way to work and was never one to sit idle. His greatest joy came from his beloved pets.

Pete was preceded in death by his father, Heinz H. Treiber. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Tribble Treiber of Macon; his mother, Caroline Treiber of Athens, Georgia; his brothers, Ben Treiber (Virginia) of Comer, Georgia, and Philip Treiber (Ann) of Macon; his nephews, Randy Treiber of Macon, and Nathan Treiber (Brittany) of Connecticut; his niece, Maia Gambill of Houston, Texas; his sister-in-law, Dr. Gena Tribble (Tom) of Houston, Texas; his mother-in-law, Mary Tribble of Macon; a wealth of extended family in Germany; as well as his pets, Pearl and Fred.
